I looked at the footer of my web site today and saw "Ciara Featuring Petey Pablo - Goodies" and it saddened me. The only reason that it's down there is because I was trying to whore Google for more hits. I figured people would be searching a lot for a place to download the #1 track of The Billboard Hot 100. So I wrote a script to dynamically grab it off their site, never really thinking that complete and utter shite would make it to #1. The best business move ever made in the history of all business moves has to be Wendy's accepting credit cards in their restaurants and at their drive-thrus. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times in the past month. If they didn't accept cards, I wouldn't have eaten there once. Dave Thomas would be proud. Someone send me Drive by REM please. SoulSeek didn't have it. And Happy Birthday Drew! I am sorry I couldn't be there tonight to do it huge with you. =[

The --daemon switch now allows Soulfind to fork into the background at startup, and man pages are provided for soulfind and soulsetup. Several bugs have been fixed, like the detection of homographs in usernames and room names, and admin commands crashing the server.

I looked at the footer of my web site today and saw "Ciara Featuring Petey Pablo - Goodies" and it saddened me. The only reason that it's down there is because I was trying to whore Google for more hits. I figured people would be searching a lot for a place to download the #1 track of The Billboard Hot 100. So I wrote a script to dynamically grab it off their site, never really thinking that complete and utter {link9} would make it to #1. The best business move ever made in the history of all business moves has to be Wendy's accepting credit cards in their restaurants and at their drive-thrus. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times in the past month. If they didn't accept cards, I wouldn't have eaten there once. Dave Thomas would be proud. Someone send me Drive by REM please. SoulSeek didn't have it. And Happy Birthday Drew! I am sorry I couldn't be there tonight to do it huge with you. =[

I looked at the footer of my web site today and saw "Ciara Featuring Petey Pablo - Goodies" and it saddened me. The only reason that it's down there is because I was trying to whore Google for more hits. I figured people would be searching a lot for a place to download the #1 track of The Billboard Hot 100. So I wrote a script to dynamically grab it off their site, never really thinking that complete and utter shite would make it to #1. The best business move ever made in the history of all business moves has to be Wendy's accepting credit cards in their restaurants and at their drive-thrus. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times in the past month. If they didn't accept cards, I wouldn't have eaten there once. Dave Thomas would be proud. Someone send me Drive by REM please. I don't have any suggestions for Project, but for Soulseek I'd recommend Nicotine.app, which is quite good in spite of its reliance on X11.

I looked at the footer of my web site today and saw "Ciara Featuring Petey Pablo - Goodies" and it saddened me. The only reason that it's down there is because I was trying to whore Google for more hits. I figured people would be searching a lot for a place to download the #1 track of The Billboard Hot 100. So I wrote a script to dynamically grab it off their site, never really thinking that complete and utter shite would make it to #1. The best business move ever made in the history of all business moves has to be Wendy's accepting credit cards in their restaurants and at their drive-thrus. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times in the past month. If they didn't accept cards, I wouldn't have eaten there once. Dave Thomas would be proud. Someone send me Drive by REM please. SoulSeek didn't have it. And Happy Birthday Drew! I am sorry I couldn't be there tonight to do it huge with you. =[

Soulseek (http://www.slsknet.org) is a communication and file-sharing system. It is quite similar to Napster: it lets you exchange files, search for files, chat with other users in public and in private, browse their files, and get recommendations for music. SoulSeek for Linux is a GUI client for the system written in Python/wxPython. It includes all the major functionality: chat, searches, and file transfers. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Code speedups, wxPython 2.6 fixes, and Unicode/character encoding fixes were made. Support for remotely-initiated uploads was added. Soulfind is a free Soulseek server program, compatible with most current Unix clients (at least cursedsouls, PySlsk, Nicotine, and Museek). Most features have been implemented, including "Things I like/hate", but there's no distribution of the searches. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Passwords are not stored as plain text in the database anymore, but only as md5sums. The --daemon switch now allows Soulfind to fork into the background at startup, and man pages are provided for soulfind and soulsetup. Several bugs have been fixed, like the detection of homographs in usernames and room names, and admin commands crashing the server.

Most features have been implemented, including "Things I like/hate", but there's no distribution of the searches. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A Makefile.win, usable with the Digitalmars make provided with DMD, is now included to make Soulfind easier to build under Windows (as well as some instructions in the doc/ directory).
